Miss Club Italia started in 1980 by founder Wilma Calabrese of the Ladies Auxiliary of Club Italia.

Club Italia is proud to host an annual pageant where young ladies of Italian heritage, minimum 16 years of age, can participate to receive the honour of being crowned Miss Club Italia.

Many activities are held prior to the crowning of Miss Club Italia. The young contestants are first introduced to the Ladies Auxiliary during one of the monthly meetings, and then to the members of Club Italia the night of the Valentine Dinner Dance.

Thanks to the sponsorship of many local businesses the contestants also participate in a pizza-making activity, on a helicopter tour, and visit many tourist attractions that Niagara Falls has to offer.

A talent show takes place with a pot-luck dinner where the contestants bring a traditional family dish.

The contestants also raise funds for various charities in the community by having a Sleep-A-Thon.

The night of the pageant, a sit-down dinner is served and enjoyed by everyone. The contestants perform a choreographed routine on stage showcasing their talent and beauty. A panel of five judges determine the winner.

For the following year the crowned Miss Club Italia participates in all Club Italia events, becoming the new ambassador for the Club and an inspiration for our youth.
