Ever since Club Italia opened its doors, it has been the host of many fundraising events that have benefited the entire community.

The Club Italia Golf Tournament

The Club Italia Golf Tournament started 22 years ago as a small "Members/Guests Tournament" with all the proceeds donated to the Greater Niagara General Hospital. The tournament was a success and continued to grow year after year. Within a few years the name was changed from "Members/Guests Tournament" to the "Club Italia Open", and the date was also changed from early spring to the middle of June.

The success of this function is achieved through the commitment and hard work by the committee and volunteer staff, the generosity of their sponsors and the participation of a great bunch of golfers.

The sole purpose of this tournament was, and still is, to raise funds for our local hospital. The Greater Niagara General Hospital receives approximately 10 to 15 thousands dollars each year. For as long as we have support by those involved, this function will continue well into the future.

The April Spaghetti Dinner for the GNGH

Since inception, Club Italia has always been a supporter of Niagara Falls' local hospital. Over the years, the Club Italia Ladies Auxiliary Club has fundraised for The Greater Niagara General Hospital by organizing an annual Spaghetti Dinner since 1999. All proceeds go to our GNGH for various equipment needs, especially for mammogram and breast cancer equipment.

The Ladies Auxiliary Fashion Show

Each year, the Club Italia Ladies Auxiliary Club hosts a Fashion Show. The fashion show benefits the Greater Niagara General Hospital's MRI machine for breast cancer. The fashion show is held in the middle of October and normally attracts over 500 people.

The Ladies Auxiliary Bazaar

The Club Italia Ladies Auxiliary Club also hosts a Bazaar anually with proceeds going to the Tender Wishes Foundation. The bazaar is normally held on a Sunday in early November. A variety of crafts and bake goods are sold, and spaghetti dinner is served. Many volunteers from Club Italia and from the Tender Wishes Foundation help to make this event a success each year.

Niagara Peninsula Children Centre Fundraiser

For the first time this year, Club Italia held a fundraiser for the Niagara Peninsula Children Centre. A dinner-dance was organized featuring Grammy award winner Walter Ostanek. The event was a great success.
